RESONANZ Festival is now RESONANZ Foundation!
Heidi Skok, Director |
UPDATE!
After two very successful seasons of RESONANZ operating as a top-tiered Pay-to-Sing program for Opera Singers in the United States and abroad, RESONANZ is changing course. There will be no third season for RESONANZ as a Summer Vocal Festival for Singers.
Instead, RESONANZ is now evolving into a Foundation that will support primarily larger-voiced classical singers of American or Canadian citizenship.
A competition will be held to disperse funds that will aid singers in the continuation of their careers. Singers must exhibit very high-level career potential. A CV and DVD and/or MP3 recording will be required before acceptance into the competition. Most likely, RESONANZ will be seeking singers of Wagnerian-type quality to further aid this country in the production of larger-voiced operatic sound.
The anticipated date of the first RESONANZ competition is the Fall of 2012. In the meanwhile, we hope to present up two concerts a year in the Albany area and occasional masterclasses with esteemed professionals from the world of opera.
We would like to thank our fabulous faculty, staff and students from the past two years and wish them all the best as they continue their journeys.
Please keep checking this site for further developments with RESONANZ Foundation.
Our mission:
The mission of RESONANZ Foundation is to give financial support to extremely gifted classical singers with larger voices within the United States and Canada.
